Harbor Kid's Christmas Program

Harbor Kids is preparing “A Christmas to Remember,” for our annual kids’ Christmas program! We will be praising God by raising our voices in song and scripture! This program is for children aged 3 through 11. The first rehearsal is Tuesday, November 19 at 5:00 pm in the Harbor sanctuary, and performances are December 15 during both church services. Contact rosie@harborfolsom for more information, including the full rehearsal schedule.

“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.”

PROVERBS 22:6

With the help of a committed staff, Harbor Kids provides a safe and secure environment where children learn the truths of the Bible and hear the good news of Jesus Christ presented in ways they can understand. They experience caring relationships with their teachers and peers, and have a lot of fun learning together.

We value your children and place a high priority on our ministry to them. Studies show that 85% of adults who claim to have a relationship with Christ entered into that relationship between the ages of four and fourteen. Children matter to God and they matter to us!

Rosie Clauer, Director of Harbor Kids, works closely with our class coordinators and teachers to create relevant and creative lesson plans that will effectively reach our children. Each of our volunteers* has a love for God, a love for children, and a passion for helping them pursue a relationship with their Creator.

Curriculum in each of our classes is accompanied by singing, crafts, and games played both in the classrooms and in Harbor's large backyard.

Everyone who works with Harbor Kids must undergo a background check in order to ensure the safety of our children.

Nursery (Birth-Age 2)

Our nursery provides a safe, clean and loving environment for the littlest ones at Harbor. We strive to create a place where infants and early walkers feel loved and secure, and their parents/grandparents/guardians feel comfortable leaving them during the service. Our nursery volunteers* take great joy in caring for our little ones!

Toddlers (2-3 Years)

Our toddler room provides a safe, clean and loving environment filled with toys, games, and songs for two and three year olds. In addition to being well cared for, they are taught simple truths about God. Our toddler volunteers* love to explore and play with the toddler crew!

Preschool & Kindergarten (4, 5 Years old & kindergarten)

Our Pre-K/Kindergarten class is a place where boys and girls can learn about God and what it means to obey and trust Him, as well as run off some of their energy! Through story time, crafts and games, they learn about God and His love for them. The volunteers* who serve in this ministry have a passion for reaching this age group with the message of the gospel and strive to communicate with them in ways they can understand.

Early Elementary (1st-3rd Grade)

Our Early Elementary class is a place where boys and girls learn how and why to follow God’s instruction. Through age-appropriate curriculum designed to magnify God by studying His character in the pages of the Bible, our volunteers* are passionate about helping children better understand who God is and how they are to respond to Him.

Late elementary (4th-5th Grade)

Our Late Elementary class offers an environment for our older kids to experience God’s love and learn what it means to live a life for Christ. Using age-appropriate curriculum, volunteers* who serve in this ministry are excited to come alongside parents and partner in the growth of their children in the areas of faith, character and understanding God.

Hand in Hand Ministry

Hand in Hand Ministry is a part of Harbor Kids. This ministry exists to serve, support and love our neurodivergent friends. In Luke 14, Jesus tells the parable of the banquet, sharing the Lord’s desire for His house to be full…ALL are included. At Harbor Church, we strive to provide a safe and loving environment for all of God’s children to receive the gospel. God made each one of us unique, with different ways of learning and receiving information. Through Hand in Hand ministry, we will partner your child with a trained buddy to support that child in our inclusive classrooms. We will meet with the family and develop a specific plan for your child. For more information, please contact Rosie Clauer, Director of Harbor Kids at rosie@harborfolsom.com
